Geo-synthetic materials are manufactured from polymers which makes them be eco-friendly. These materials are entirely designed for reinforcement and adding strength to various structures like pavements hence making them hard to crack. There are different materials made by geosynthetics manufacturers which are very beneficial for various applications in transportation, construction and landscaping industries.

Textiles which are mainly made from synthetic fibers are widely used to reinforce pavements since they do not allow water to flow through them. Machinery are used to transform the synthetic fibers into these products. The textiles are incorporated into other materials to give them the ability to resist water from penetrating through them.

In addition, there are the Geo-net materials. They are also referred to as the geo-spacers. They are manufactured through a continuous process. During the process, polymeric ribs are produced. The end products of this process are usually in net form and are also large. These materials are used for many tasks but mostly the drainage work.

In addition, there are also the Geo-grid materials which are made from plastics and the materials are usually different. Their manufacturing process involves stretching them to make their physical properties to be of good quality than the initial. These materials can be applied in so many areas but mostly they are used to reinforce since they are effective.

Another geo-synthetic material is the geo-membranes which are thin sheets which do not allow fluid to pass through. They are made from a polymeric material and are very useful for lining solid-waste landfills, ponds and even pits. There major work is to contain by forming a barrier for any liquid or vapor. Geo-membranes can be used over the top of the geotextile.

Cells are also other materials that can be produced during the process. These particular materials are highly porous and can be used in reducing soil erosion in slanting areas. The cells can be used together with the grids or textiles to compliment their work. The cells are very useful in restoring the fertility of the land by preventing the loss of soil that is normally caused by erosion.

There is also the geo-composite, which is manufactured through two methods. The first way is by combining geo-grids, geo-textiles geo-membranes and also geo-nets. The other method of obtaining it is by mixing the four materials with soil or a synthetic material. The use of geo-composite materials is increasing daily with a high rate. The materials have got several applications such as reinforcement, separation work, containment and also drainage work.

In conclusion, these materials have been scientifically proven to be very effective when used with other construction materials to come up with a building. The world is also moving towards eco friendly materials in a bid to protect the environment from degradation and as such these materials are coming in handy to help in this campaign.
