If you run a small business like a beauty parlor or a day spa, one of the smartest things that you can do is to purchase a central air conditioner. Not only will central air keep your clients cool and happy, but research studies reveal that air-conditioning serves to help staff members be more productive as well. In this post are the reasons why you should buy air conditioning for your company.

The technology behind a central air conditioner is an easy one. In physics class in senior high school, they explained it as the process of heat transfer. Essentially the interior component of the system traps the hot air, passes it through the cooling agent that cools it, then launches the cool air back into the workplace. The central system that I chose is also referred to as a split AC unit. This simply means that it has two parts. The fan is inside the business office while the compressor is outdoors.

I could not be happier with how the central air conditioner performs. We set the thermostat to 72 and within 15 to 20 minutes, the entire workplace is cool.

Right before you invest in a new central air conditioner, you need to think about these points:

1) Give some thought to the kind of climate where you live. If you primarily handle dry heat, you will certainly not need as powerful a system as you will if you live in high humidity.

2) Do careful calculations of how many BTUs you will have to cool your establishment. There are web-based calculators that permit you to do this.

3) To save cash and spare the environment, look for an energy efficiency rating (SEER) of 12 or higher.

4) Our professional informed us that if we had a central heating unit in place, he might've just added the cooling to the air ducts. This could save you a great deal of money if you are you have a heating unit in place.

5) Do some online research to find a good contractor to put in your central air conditioner. This is not a Do It Yourself job, and needs somebody who actually knows what they're doing.
