Traveling to tourist destinations such as historical sites are exhilarating. Prior to visiting these sites, a place to sleep should be of importance to the tourists. Aside from that, getting food should also be prioritized.

Most travelers who have extra money to spend will typically be making reservations for a room in a hotel. However, for most of those visitors who are on a tight budget, they might consider staying in Stone Ridge Bed and Breakfast. Usually, this type of lodging is significantly cheaper than most hotels. Both lodgings and one meal already comprise the daily room rate. No other meals will be served, though.

Reading and understanding the policies about staying in bed and breakfast should be of utmost importance to the guest so that misunderstanding will not occur. He may also evaluate room rates and payment schemes. If he has other inquiries, he may directly ask the innkeeper. The innkeeper will be able to answer these queries and provide clarifications.

To avoid paying cancellation fees, he has to take note of the cancellation process in case he needs to cancel his reservation. If he is traveling with a pet, he should inquire if pets are allowed to stay inside or not. If he is a smoker, most lodgings have a no smoking policy so he may have to smoke in designated areas.

The owner will be expecting the tourist to arrive on time once a room has been booked. If there is a delay on the part of the visitor, informing the host is a good thing. With this, the host will be able to double check on other guests or do different things while waiting.

The traveler may meet other guests who are also staying at the place. He should respect the rights and privacy of these guests. He needs to respect the owner, as well. He should not be loud and lower his voice down as he may disturb the others. The bathroom should not be used for a very long time since other visitors may also have to use it. The bathroom should be cleaned when he leaves.

Since bed and breakfasts have a specified time frame for morning meals, he should be able to eat his meal within the said duration. It would be respectful to inform the host on time if the guest is not comfortable with the allotted time. A certain agreement may be reached between the visitor and the host.

If appliances are not functioning properly and amenities are not working, as well, he needs to communicate the matter to the host. It would be respectful if he can do this first thing in the morning and not when the owner and the guests are sleeping. This action is reasonable if there is an emergency.

Upon departure, the visitor should also observe good manners. Saying thank you is one. He should not be bringing with him things that belong to that establishment. He should also avoid rearranging the furniture and leave them as is.
