With all the things that people need to be doing in a market place setting, there is barely any time to properly organize and balance out the books manually. That would just essentially be slow and inefficient. Not to mention manually doing the Point of Sales process can be subjected to some human error. What used to be a classic mechanical cash register has evolved through out the centuries.

This set up is basically comprised with a terminal, monitor, printer, scanner and even one that can process both debit and credit cards. The special thing about the Clover POS system is how it is connected to the cloud. Now that is another term that is not exactly familiar. A cloud is the term used for a virtual database or file cabinet that help keep and process information.

Apart from the benefits that any system gets from the cloud, this particular POS is specially designed for the purpose of business. This does not only extend to the software but also the hardware. It is essentially a tablet, With a stand, a scanner and a printer. The more common and old school ones that are still used have the same set up, only bulkier and with limited features.

Specialized hardware was designed for this POS. This is to make sure that security breaches are avoided and from any outside application that may automatically download itself into the device. Even when the device can connect to other related equipment like the printers and scanners.

The business owner may worry that his employees would mess around with the equipment and install applications not particularly related to the POS process. The equipment is relatively easy to install with its color coded wires. The chasis of the hardware itself has a very sophisticated design that it can fit in well with any store interior.

The best part is not only with the sophisticated chasis but most especially on the software that it uses. Like mentioned in earlier, customization features are more advanced when compared to other OS that may pick up the same design. Android inherently allows users, that know how to code in the language, this means that if you can make an application specific to your needs and put it in your system.

While there may be the argument that these customized applications may be a threat to security, Clover has made it a point to review third party applications and make sure they are safe for download for users. These application need to be bought though and the prices are determined by the developer that made it.

Customer support can vary depending on what application you need support for. While you may worry that there is a possibility that support would not be given for certain third party applications, Clover has found a way around that. They do not publish an app unless they are absolutely certain that it qualifies their standards. After all, your business could be on the line.

This is the latest when it comes to Point of Sales setups. While you may be thinking that there would be no need to replace what you already have, you may want to reconsider. This being cloudbased means there is little to no chance that your records will be lost. Miscalculations, if any can definitely be pinned on erroneous input of data and not the system itself. This increases accuracy and efficiency by a lot.
