With all these facts being said, a family should not decide right away without coming up with a unanimous decision. They are to consider their capabilities of accepting other people as part of their responsibility. They would not want to regret signing up for such because they were impulsive.
But then, most of those families who are regularly participating in such programs would say the experience alone is the reward they get. It leaves them feeling satisfied with what they have done towards the kid. Besides, it something is another form of adventure and memories to build.
Kids also experiences a much more meaningful experience. They learn to find friends and temporary siblings on their stay where friendship blooms to the fullest. True enough, being part of such acts and programs is something else and a whole new different color to add up the home.
And basically when the time where the pupil needs to return, sure this can be quite tough. Right after the memories were made and created, goodbyes are truly one of the hardest thing to do. But then, being the host would be fulfilling knowing how huge you personally have been helpful to the journey of that once stranger you treated as sibling or child of your own.
