Vacations and sunny days are all about having fun and enjoying time outside the house. One of the most loved activities from childhood is blowing bubbles. Even the grown-ups like doing this and bottles with soap mix and bubble wands can be found at many stores. However, homemade ones are much fun and they are really easy to make.

There are several ways in which you can do them yourself, and all of them can be tried with the kids, maybe at a little summer party. You will be able to make all sorts of wands, from big ones to smaller ones, and every one of them will be unique.

One way could be to use a piece of colored wire and form it into a circle. Make sure you twist the end in order to close the circle and pull the other end down to create the handle. You can make them as long or big as you want, but the standard would be around 3 inches in diameter. Check if they fit in the jar you will use for the soap mix.

Try using all sorts of colored beads to personalize the handle. These can be of various shapes and colors, letters, numbers, etc. Make sure to twist off the end of the wire to keep the beads secure and you are ready to blow some bubbles.

One other way of creating these wands would be to use pipe cleaners, which you can find at many craft stores in many colors. Start by bending them to form a circle or various shapes, like hearts, triangles or flowers. Make sure to secure it tightly so it will not get loose.

Now the next step is to create the soap mixture and it is as easy and fun as creating the wands. All you need is a cup of warm water, 2 tablespoons of dish soap and 1 tablespoon of glycerin. Mix them all together and change the quantities if needed. Put it in a container of your choice and start making bubbles.

A giant bubble wand is also a fun thing to use and make and there are a few ways to do it as well. You could use 2 sticks with the length of your own choosing and approximate 2 meters of string, whatever color you want. You can also add some decorative items. If you do not have any sticks, 2 straws and string would do it. Put the string through the straw forming a square where the straws are parallel.

If you want to create the wand with sticks, cut the string in half and tie each end to one end of each sticks. Create an egg-shaped hole with the strings. This is easy to do and to personalize as you and the children want. Everyone creating their very own bubble wand is an activity that the whole family can enjoy and it is a fun way to spend time during the summer holiday. You will be able to make a variety of them, all shapes and color and chase bubbles with your friends and family.
