Our religion is very important to us since this is one of the foundations of our existence. First of all, this could not save us. It could even be the root cause of violence and conflicts because of misunderstandings. Despite our beliefs, we must learn to value the essence of these moral standards. This kind of belief should be erased in order to achieve a more peaceful place for everyone to live in. Prioritizing our own sets of values will only make us toxic individuals.
We cannot deny the fact that our actions and behaviors are still influenced form the teachings that they planted in our minds. However, the problem is that we have never been sure if these are accurate. Some teachings are so conventional that they become toxic. If we cannot understand these lessons in transparent ways, then we would never achieve emotional and spiritual growth.
By focusing on our midpoints or common grounds, we will be able to build a more meaningful connection with each other. These common grounds will help us unite despite our conflicting values and different backgrounds. It is not our fault that our parents have taught us these things. It could also not be our fault why their parents raised them that way.
If our goal is to live a peaceful life, it would be very challenging to change the erroneous mind sets of these cults. A lot of missionaries have already dies because of their willingness to serve. They left their family and loved ones just to fulfill their moral principles and to follow their teachings. We cannot blame them for doing this.
As members in the society, we should do our tasks well. Our task is to spread awareness especially to indigenous places that religion will not save them. However, it would be very dangerous and risky for our missionaries to visit those places. Indigenous places are home of cults and dangerous beings.
We could not blame people for acting immaturely without knowing their back subjects. Instead of discriminating their beliefs, we might do something to relate with them. As responsible and concerned citizens, you cannot help these people by influencing them with your own personal values. Instead of doing so, apply the common ground rule.
Unfortunately, some of them are politicians whose purpose is only for a political campaign. This should not be the case. Some thought that this is just the basis. It could be a part of those basis but not the whole of it. Understanding and loving one another is an act of real faith and thus, we can prove the strength of our faith by being instruments of care and love.
