Use them when you will be with everyone around you. Not because you are just doing the job but you care the people around you.

Being on this job, patience is required. Remember that you cannot please everyone. You need to understand and be patient enough. And never jump into conclusions right away. Make sure that before you make any move or actions, you know the situation well. Your temper must be controlled.

Be a good listener. Especially when they will share you something. Stay focus and find a solution. To be able to tell them what to do. This is one way, that you will know them and especially the problems that they have. Your presence is more than enough. Be there and listen as they talk.

Be compassionate. They need genuine people and not fake ones. So you have to give your all to them and imagine yourself in their situation. So you can figure out how it is to be in their situation. You need to experience the feelings that they before you would give your reaction to the certain problem.

Do not judge. No one is allowed to condemn them for the things that happen. You should encourage them and uplift their spirits. Talk to them and assure them that everything will be alright. Let them know that you are there and they are not alone. Give them an assurance that you are not there to judge them but to help you in their situation.

Be resourceful. Do not just rely with what you learn in school and heard from other people. You have to find facts on your own and learn. Have a basis of the things you learn and explain more. This will be your added knowledge and be able to give the help they need.

Show them some empathy. So they will not feel lonely. You can imagine yourself in the particular situation. Give them a hug. That matters a lot to them. One way to show to them that there is someone who really cares for them.

All the information you hear from them, must be treated as confidential. Keep it to yourself and never share it everyone and even to the person who is very close to you. This is a sign of showing respect.
