Commonly Accepted - Incorporating a permanent wood foundation (PWF) structure is universally accepted by all fire insurance companies, financial lending institutions, warranty programs, major building codes, and mortgage companies throughout the country.

Versatile and Adaptable - A PWF system can be utilized in a large variety of building styles and configurations for level and sloped lots. This adaptability allows for accommodation of both single- and multi-level homes. It also supports buildings of just about any shape. Another virtue of the PWF's adaptability is its ability to adjusted to various soil conditions and be expanded upon.

Construct with Ease - By using standard framing methods that can be found in most buildings, construction is quicker and easier than that of a masonry foundation. The construction can also be adjusted to accommodate either a crawlspace or a full height basement.

Sturdy Foundation - Due to the fact that PWFs include an engineered foundation structure system, it is capable of absorbing and redirecting stresses caused by wind, settling earth, and seismic activity. In addition, the wood used in PWFs is more resistant to cracking from the cold and soil movements. Maintenance is reduced by the foundations ability to "give" a little.

Installable despite Weather - Whereas other types of foundations require certain types of weather to be implemented, a wooden foundation is capable of being built anytime of the year.

Endurance - PWFs have a lifespan of over a century allowing for a large dose of confidence regardless of what your lot looks like. The durability of the system has been tested countless times over the last half-century by governmental agencies.

Eco-Friendly - Not everyone realizes that it takes a great deal less energy to manufacture treated wood products than it does to produce masonry type products. It's for this very reason that any wood products utilized in the construction business and the subsequent installation of PWF are indeed environmentally sound products. Another key benefit is that innovative treated wood products demonstrate hardly any out-gassing into the immediate atmosphere and virtually no leaching into soils as well. In fact, the PWF is considered a renewable resource so it won't exhaust the earth's non-renewable natural resources and often referred to as "green technology" for its admirable sustaining qualities.

Prefab - As mentioned previously, this system can be built regardless of the weather. This is the result of being assembled offsite in a dry shop. When the weather is acceptable, it can be transported to the site and installed.

A Simpler Finish - With a concrete foundation, the need for wall framing still exists. This creates more work, time, and expense. With a PWF, there is no need for additional framing because the wooden foundation provides the studs needed for a finish.

Perfect for Rural Areas - In rural areas, PWF can be built without any need for concrete at all; the ideal situation wherever concrete may not be readily available or costs too much.
